Security No. 1 Inhibitor to Microsoft Office 365 Adoption
Barracuda Networks polled 1,100+ organizations to learn about the trends around Office 365 adoption and usage, including the factors and concerns customers face when deciding whether to migrate or stick with their existing business software platform. Results say adoption is increasing overall. Researchers found 63% of respondents currently use Office 365 and among the remaining respondents, some 49% plan to migrate to it. This marks a 20% jump from a similar study in 2016, when 42% of businesses surveyed were using Office 365. Security concerns are the top inhibitor for 44% of businesses deciding against Office 365.

People around the world are expected to make 726 billion transactions using digital payment technologies by 2020, according to a new study. The report notes that "there are specific situations where one or more of the attributes of cash — speed of exchange, universal acceptance, anonymity, absence of record and free of charge — are not yet matched by digital payments."
Diebold Claims No. 1 Spot as Largest ATM Manufacturer
Diebold Nixdorf has been named the largest manufacturer in the global ATM market in Global ATM Market and Forecasts to 2022, a new report from strategic research and consulting firm RBR. RBR research indicates that the Diebold Nixdorf owns a 32 percent share of the global market, and is the only manufacturer to have more than 1 million of its ATMs installed worldwide. Globally, the number of ATMs grew by 3 percent to 3.3 million in 2016 and is expected to grow to more than 3.7 million by the end of 2022, according to the report.

FICO Improves Cybersecurity Scoring Model
Silicon Valley analytics firm FICO announced that the latest version of its FICO Enterprise Security Score is twice as accurate at predicting a data breach as the previous model. The FICO Enterprise Security Score gives subscribers the ability to assess the forward-looking cyber breach risk of their organization and their partners, and helps improve breach insurance underwriting.
ZoneFox Launches "First Hosted UEBA Platform"
ZoneFox announced the release of its fully hosted User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) platform. The software monitors activities such as file transferring, data loss or theft, writing IP to removable media, tunnelling data through the dark web, and ransomware and malware files entering the network and unauthorized or suspicious file access.

33% of Businesses Hit by DDoS Attack in 2017, Double That of 2016
Cybercriminals are increasingly turning to Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) this year, as 33% of organizations faced such an attack in 2017 - up from just 17% in 2016, according to a new report from Kaspersky Lab.
